On June 2, 2022, the Ontario Land Tribunal heard a day-long “motion to dismiss”, brought by the City of Toronto. Essentially, the lawyer for the City argued that the appeal has no merit, and should be – well – dismissed.
At the end of the hearing, the adjudicators indicated that judgement would be reserved. In other words, we’d have to wait some time for the decision to made. We have no idea of the timeline, but we are certainly hoping it will only be weeks, not months.
Earlier this year, John Lorinc wrote a great piece on the topic for Spacing Toronto. You can find that HERE.
